The Lincoln County Library District has several positions that need to be filled on the Budget Committee. Budget committee members may be anyone living in Lincoln County outside of the city limits of Lincoln City, Newport, Toledo and Yachats. A Board position also needs to be filled by
someone from the north end of Lincoln County, zone 1 of the Library District . Zone 1 basically includes areas north of the Kernville area and outside of the city limits of Lincoln City. Anyone interested in filling one of these positions should contact Diedre Conkling, diedre@beachbooks.org or 265-3066.

Agenda items include the appointment of budget committee members and one board member. New Board handbooks have been received from the Oregon State Library and the Special Districts Association of Oregon (SDAO). The Board will review these handbooks. Reports from those attending the SDAO Conference, in February, and the OLA Conference, April 5 - 7, will be presented. The Board will also continue looking at policies that need to be added or updated for the Siletz Public Library. Reports about events occuring in libraries in Lincoln County will be given.
